About this story

AACN held its latest iCare hygiene kits distribution at Casa Marianella, and announced a new focus on job readiness and placement.

AACN carried out another iCare Initiative hygiene kits distribution at Casa Marianella, 821 Gunter St, Austin, at 3 pm, bringing dignity, comfort and hope to hundreds of displaced individuals over the past several months.

It was also the last hygiene kits distribution for now. Starting this August, AACN is dedicating its energy and resources to job readiness, job searching and placement support: resumes and interview skills, soft skills and workplace culture, job referrals and employer partnerships, and support for self-employment.

AACN asks for volunteers to mentor and walk alongside residents, prayers for strength and wisdom, and partners who believe that displaced people deserve more than sympathy; they deserve opportunity.

This is not the end of iCare. It is the evolution of it.
